Money could be saved if Britons choose all-inclusive holidays, it has been claimed, with one expert suggesting the option will be popular in 2011.

Bob Atkinson, travel expert at, says such a move "allows people to operate a budget" and "manage [it] closely", observing: "It is also very good value for money".

Those worried about how vacations will affect their financial planning might pick package deals, with savings potentially protected because extra costs such as drinks and ice creams are included in the price.

The recent ABTA - the Travel Association Travel Trends 2011 Report predicted such options will be popular in the coming year, noting 74 per cent of holidaymakers believe getting the most for their money is essential when it comes to breaks.
